Mumford and Sons, Vancouver

Steveston

Steveston is located in the southwest corner of Richmond just outside of Vancouver. It is a small historic village famous for its fishing and canneries.

Adam and I enjoyed a greasy fish and chip lunch at one of the many harbor restaurants, it was very nice but not quite up to British standards, it has to be said. We then took a pleasant coastal walk around the Garry Point Park which was carpeted with pastoral wildflowers, and bordered with patches of sandy beach.

Adam and I met some of the locals outside of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery.

It was interesting to see what the independent stores had to offer...

...stacks and stacks of sci-fi novels, yikes!

Sadly we couldn't take get a lift home in one of these, we just took the plain old bus.
